Welcome, we’re glad you found us!

We are a small ceramics studio based in Rębiechowo (near Gdańsk).

We’ve been creating artistic ceramics since 2005, so quite a few years already! Over this time we’ve gained a lot of experience—many failures, a few successes, but above all constant satisfaction from our work.

Throughout the years our team has changed, and at the moment there are three of us in the studio: Andzia, Ola, and myself (Ela).

With us you’ll find functional ceramics (which we enjoy making the most) as well as decorative ceramics—mainly ceramic ornaments and magnets, but also other forms such as little houses, townhouses, figurines, and shell-shaped candle holders.

In our work we use different types of clay and various ceramic techniques, such as:

• Slab building – mainly platters, small plates, ornaments, magnets, and bells

• Using moulds (“kopyto”) – some bowls, planters, tea bowls, and candle holders

• Slip casting – figurines, and some plates and bowls

• Wheel throwing – most mugs and cups, and some bowls

Even though we use different techniques, all our pieces are still handmade, which means they may vary slightly in size and shape from the original. They are also hand-painted—glazed—so there may be small differences between individual items. We do our best to make them as close as possible to what you see in the photos.

To create a finished product in our studio, a multi-stage process is needed—a production cycle that has been known for centuries and hasn’t changed in hundreds of years. It takes around 2–3 weeks:

• forming the piece using any technique

• drying – usually a few days

• the first firing, known as bisque firing

• glazing – with various methods

• a second firing

• sanding – for some products

All items you’ll find in our shop and studio (if you visit us in person) are made with great precision and care, which are very important to us. Andzia prefers larger, more expressive forms, while I put my heart into perfecting every detail.
